Walk Down Memory Lane for Southwest Seniors Golf Association

Playing the historic Phoenix Country Club was a walk down memory lane for the Southwest Seniors Golf Association’s (SWSGA) twenty-two groups! Greeted by the many historic photos and enjoying the Club’s elegant charm effortlessly delivered by Director of Golf, Scott Frisch, and his staff was enjoyed by all. Following play a delicious buffet complete with cherry cobbler and ice cream was a hit while scores were posted.

Legacy Golf Club Opens Site for The First Tee of Phoenix

Phoenix—The First Tee of Phoenix announced today an agreement to open a junior golf programming site at Legacy Golf Club in south Phoenix. Multi-level programming begins the week of October 2, 2015, with classes on Fridays beginning at 4:30pm and Saturdays beginning at 8:30am.

“As The First Tee of Phoenix continues to expand, we’re delighted to see the growing positive impact it has on children and our community,” said Kevin Terry, Executive Director for The First Tee of Phoenix. “Our partnership with Legacy ensures that the children of south Phoenix will have the opportunity to not only learn to play the great game of golf, but also learn nine core life skills that will prepare them for success in life.”

The First Tee of Phoenix Names Kevin Terry as New Executive Director

The First Tee of Phoenix recently announced the hiring of Kevin Terry as Executive Director. Terry will oversee all planning and day-to-day operations including programming featuring The First Tee’s nine core values and other golf learning activities. The position was previously held by Hugh Smith beginning in 2006.

Sedona Golf Resort Hosts the Sedona Bike & Brew Festival

Sedona, AZ – Sedona Golf Resort and OB Sports recently announced that Sedona Golf Resort will be the host of the 2nd Annual Sedona Bike & Brew Festival August 28th – 29th 2015. The Sedona Bike & Brew, believed to be the first of its kind, is a Mountain Bike Race that will be hosted on the Golf Course.
